JKPSC Medical Officer Unani Notification

Jammu And Kashmir Public Service Commission invites applications from permanent residents of J&K State only for the posts of Medical Officer Unani (2nd  Special Drive).

Selection Procedure:

Short listing through a written Screening Test :

If the number of applicants exceeds 350 for less than 100 posts and if the number of applicants is more than 3 times for more than 100 vacancies, the short listing shall be done through a Written Screening Test. Short listing will be done in the ratio 3:1 for each vavcancy.

Short listing by other methods:

When the number of applicants for posts upto 100 is 350 or less, the short listing shall be done  on the following basis:

  1. Percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination; and
  2. Higher qualification, if any, in the relevant subject.


For 1-5 post

Five times the number of posts


For 6-10 posts

Four times the number of posts subject to a minimum of 25


For 11-100 posts

Three times subject to a minimum of 40

Commission may carry out short listing by a written Screening Test in certain other circumstances. Refer to official notification for details.

Weight age for merit in the qualifying examination shall be 90% and for higher qualification in the relevant subject upto 10%.

How to Apply:

Application: Application Forms can be obtained from the office of J&K Public Service Commission, Resham Ghar Colony, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu/ Polo ground Srinagar on cash payment of Rs. 50


  • A Fee of Rs. 400/ in respect of general category candidates and Rs.200/ in respect of reserved category candidates has to be paid in the form of cash through the counters of J&K Bank set up in the offices of J & K PSC at Jammu/Srinagar.
  • The Application Forms sent through post by the candidates should be accompanied with a bank draft of equivalent amount to be obtained from J&K Bank branches only and drawn in favour of Controller of Examinations J&K PSC and payable at Jammu/Srinagar.

Certificates to be attached with the photocopy of the Application form Attested true copies of following certificates are to be attached with the photo copy of the Application Form.

  1. Date of Birth Certificate.
  2. Permanent Resident Certificate.
  3. Educational Qualification Certificate prescribed for the post.
  4. Certificate of Higher/Additional Qualification, if any.
  5. Valid Category Certificate as per SRO 294 dated 21.10.2005 as amended from time to time.
  6. Marks Certificate of prescribed qualification.
  7.  For Physically Handicapped Candidates, Disability Certificate on the prescribed format
  8.  Experience Certificate from the Head(s) of Organization(s)/Departments(s) with duration of Experience/ Employment i.e. (date /month/year).
  9.  Internship certificate.
  10.  Result Notification of MD/MS.
  11.  Registration of MBBS/MD/MS.
  12.  Registration certificate from MCI in case of Degrees obtained from abroad.
  13.  Attempt certificate.
