From merit basis 372 (294 Men and 78 Women) Candidates have been finally qualified.

Exam was conducted by Union Public Service Commission and Interviews held by Services Selection Board of Ministry of Defence.

SCRA 2013 Result. Final Selection

Special Class Railway Apprentices

UPSC had conducted the Special Class Railway Apprentice Examination commonly known as the SCRA Exam on 20th of January. The exam was followed by a personality test (interview) which were held in July.

The total number of candidates who have qualified the exam is 56.

 

The candidates would be recruited as Special Class Railway Apprentices in the Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineers.

 

The candidates would have to undergo a medical test. The medical test would be conducted by the Ministry of Railways.

 

CDS I 2013 Written Exam Result

UPSC conducted the Combined Defence Services Examination (I)-2013 on 17 February, 2013.

A total of 9888 candidates have qualified for an interview by the Service Selection Board (SSB) of the Ministry of Defence.

Results are out for the Indian Enginnering Services Exam held in June 2012. The exam was followed by personality test (interview) in April and May 2013.

A total of 635 candidates have been selected including 312 General, 183 Other Backward Classes, 92 Scheduled Castes and 48 Scheduled Tribes (including 46 candidates belonging to Physically Handicapped category).

The result of the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (II), 2012 has been announced.

The exam was conducted by UPSC in September, 2012 and was followed by SSB interviews. The interview was conducted by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence.

326 Candidates have been declared slected.

The selected candidates would be admitted to the 135th Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, and Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course for the 194th F (P) Course.

NDA (II) 2012 Result

A total of 636 candidates have qualified for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of National Defence Academy and the Naval Academy. 

The selection has been made on the basis of Written Exam and Interview. 

The candidates would be admitted to the National Defence Academy for the 130th Course and Naval Academy for the 92nd Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) commencing from July, 2013.

Medical tests have not been accounted in preparation of this list.

1. Indian Military Academy, Dehradun 137th Course -  250 Vacancies [including 32 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Army Wing) holders].

2. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala-Course - Executive (Hydro/ General Service) 40 vacancies (including 06 vacancies reserved for NCC 'C' Certificate holders (Naval Wing).

3. Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course No.196th F(P) Course - 32 vacancies

Courses commencing in October 2014

4. Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 100th SSC Course (for Men) commencing in October, 2014 - 175 vacancies

5. Officers Training Academy, Chennai 14th SSC Women (NonTechnical) Course - 12 vacancies

Eligibility: 

(a) Nationality : A candidate must either be :
(i) a citizen of India, or
(ii) a subject of Bhutan, or
(iii) a subject of Nepal, or
(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or 
(v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

 (i) For IMA

Unmarried male candidates 

Born between 2nd Julyy, 1990 and 1st Julyy, 1995 

(ii) For Indian Naval Academy

Unmarried male candidates

Born between 2nd July, 1992 (2nd July, 1990 in case of NCC Naval Wing ‘C’ Certificate holders) and 1st July, 1995

(iii)  For Air Force Academy

Unmarried male candidates

Born between 2nd July, 1991 and 1st July, 1995

(iv) For Officers' Training Academy(SSC Course for Men)

Male candidates (married or unmarried)

Born between 2nd July, 1989 and 1st July, 1995

(v) For Officers Training Academy - (SSC Women Non-Technical Course)

Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible.

Born between 2nd July, 1989 and 1st July, 1995.

Selection Procedure: 

The selection process includes a written exam and an interview.

For admission to the Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, and the Air Force Academy there would be three papers:

  • English
  • General Knowledge
  • Elementary Mathematics

Each paper would be of 2 hrs and 100 marks.

For admission to the Officers’ Training Academy there would be only two papers:

  • English
  • General Knowledge

Each paper would be of 2 hrs and 100 marks.

Application fees: 

Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only).
