Vacancies: 

There are 602 vacancies to be filled through Indian Engineering Services 2016.

Eligibility: 

The applicants must be between 21 and 30 years of age. There are relaxations for candidates of different categories.

Official notification must be reffered for details.

Selection Procedure: 

The examination shall be conducted in two parts

Part I

The written examination will comprise two section

Section I consisting only of objective type of questions

Section II of conventional papers.

Both Sections will cover the entire syllabus of the relevant engineering disciplines viz. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.

Part II. Personality test carrying a maximum of 200 marks. Only the candidates selected in written exam would be considered for the interview.

The Prelims for 2014 was conducted by UPSC last summer. The Civil Service Mains exam was held in December 2014 and the Interviews were conducted between April and June this year.

Selection Procedure: 

Examination Pattern for Combined Medical Exam 2015

The examination shall be conducted according to the following plan:

Part-I COMPUTER BASED EXAMINATION - (500 marks)

Computer based examination will have two Papers, each Paper carrying a maximum of 250 marks. Each Paper will be of two hours duration.

Part-II Personality Test : (100 Marks):

Personality Test or interview test would be conducted only for the candidates who qualify the written exam. The interview would be of 100 marks.

Paper II Maximum Marks : 250

(a) Surgery 40 questions

IES 2015 Exam Notification

Indian Engineering Services is the most prestigious engineering job in India.

There are a total of 475 vacancies through IES 2015. 

The vacancies are in following categories:

Category I-Civil Engineering

Age: Minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years on 1st January, 2015

CDS-I 2014 e-admit card

Introduction: 

Union Public Service Commission will be conducting the Combined Defence Services Examination (I) -2014 on 09th February 2014 (Sunday). The exam will be conducted at 41 centers across India. The notification regarding the exam was released in November.

The e-Admission Certificates are available on the Union Public Service Commission web-site http://www.upsc.gov.in

Candidates can download their cards from the site.
